Situated on 34 acres adjacent to the Medical College of Virginia campus of VCU, the park is contributing to Richmond's emergence as one of the East Coast's leading technology centers. Virginia's first technology incubator, containing over 27,000 square feet of wet laboratory, office and support space is located in the park. In the 4 years since the incubator opened, 20 new companies have been started there with 6 having already "graduated" from the facility. Given its location and life sciences focus, the park offers an ideal environment for the commercialization of MITAC technologies.
